Supporting Partners

The Hill Street Community Garden has many supporters in the neighbourhood. These include:

  1. Neighbourhood Associations: Strathcona, Durand, Kirkendall
  2. Churches: First Hamilton CRC (lead participating partner), New City Church, Central Presbyterian, Melrose United, St. John the Evangelist, First Unitarian Church
  3. City Councillor: Brian McHattie
  4. Local organizations and businesses: Guided Vision (this website), Hamilton Community Garden Network, Windmill Power Equipment (equipment rentals), Turkstra Lumber (box lumber), Urban Green (ongoing soil donations)
  5. Donors: Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington (supplies for Art in the Garden and gardening tools), Ontario Trillium Foundation (2011 expansion)

Lead Participating Partner

First Hamilton CRC, as the lead participating partner, is committed to using its institutional structure and resources to build local community. First Hamilton CRC desires to play a key role in providing the context for relationship building in this neighbourhood.

The Hill Street Community Garden is also able to offer tax receipts for donations to the garden through affiiliation with First Hamilton CRC.
